Abstract:

Some of the most spectacular and significant advances in modern biology , perhaps in modern science, in recent years has been concerned with the researches on nucleic acids, an important group of biological polymers of ubiquitous occurrence. A great deal of effort has been put in the last fifteen years in the direction of understanding the structure, the mechanism of biosynthesis and the function of the two types of nucleic acids, the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and the ribonucleic acid (RNA).
