People-insensitive political parties

Sir,_We have had several recent demonstrations of sycophancy and insensitivity towards the needs and interests of the people in the city. The local Congress leadership washing Rajiv Gandhi’s statue with milk, is one such example.

The limit in this respect, however, was reached at the Telugu Desam’s Vijayabheri on February 22. The party’s insensitivity to the plight of the seven million citizens of Hyderabad and of those coming to the city by train, air or road on that day, the enormous wastage of money (even if it was the party’s money), and the vulgar display of sycophancy and governmental power, belies the TDP’s claim that it is people-friendly. The question that such incidents raise is: who shall we vote for in the coming elections?
